Could be both, the idea is to show your skill using your battle suit, but not cause of the weapons but in one on one combat with another in their battle suit.

Scuh as moving, speed, throws and all but also using things like that knob on your armor/battle suit that could be used for things, the idea is to show much you know your armor and can use it even if all your weapons are exchausted or you can't bring them to bear, cause your too close to the enemy. Close in combat basically, but as a sport or just competition?

Engineering, true, there is more reasons to be suited up than direct one on one combat, its a good way to be protected not just from the environment but also enemy action as your doing things in the combat support/combat service support and like (CSS/CS roles).

Former Scout Infantry (guerillas sort of, like the Phillipine scouts but in Alaska). Mech Infantry (Mech Scouts in M113s and like machines, with helo back up and more). EMT and more, drove ambulance, so might like my medics to be able to work and do their jobs and not get killed in the process?

New level of Expert Infantry/Medics badge and competition, yes?

How to do Combat Triage and like, in a hostile environment, under fire and them inside a suit? Grin.

Two persons in the Battle Suit, but no weapons attached, just the natural
abilities of the one inside and their knowledge of their BOT.

Is it sport, an engineering competition, or both? Many sports use
some sort of equipment, but sometimes the equipment overshadows
the skill of the competitors.

The people are much more fragile than the suits. Any damage which
penetrates the suit armor at all will seriously hurt the operator.
