Hello Angelo. OK, if that is so, then it happened before my time as I
came on with GW Micro about 1 month before 6.1 came out. So now the
golden question, have you considered letting us have your machine which
experiences these annoyances so we can determine once and for all if it
can be resolved and if it's a conflict with Window-Eyes? I think you
mentioned you have 3 machines.
Many thanks.

Hi Raul, Yes I felt that I had exhausted all resources with these
problems, back when 6.0/6.1 were released. I spent time with your help
desk, sent screen shots, sent dump-osms, and yes bitch and moaned a
lot.smile I am not trying to steer anyone away from windoweyes here, I
want it to work, I have a lot invested in this product, and was so very
excited about the capability of scripting. I knew the better support for
the MS office suite was needed, but I thought access was more important
to have support for, rather then Power point, just my opinion, I thought
support for the big 3 excel, word, and access. would have been the
priorities. support for Vista also was very important to have, even
though I had no plans to use it in the near future, I had just bought a
new laptop right around the time 6.0 was released, and knew vista was a
few years away for me. I would love this to work for me and NO I am not
moving over to jaws, when this beta runs out, and if I still have no
luck getting 7.0 to be as stable as rock solid and don't feel it is up
to the standards that I hold it up to will just fall back to 5.5 and
catch up to it on the next release.

Hello Angelo. Again I ask, did you try to work through them with us?
Or is it like you say, you tried to work through them yourself,
getting frustrated because something was not working right?
I understand your frustration, believe me, and I'm certainly not
taking your comments personally. However, you are b basically saying
the same thing now about version 7.0 as you did about 6.0.
Just an observation is all.

It may not be bad for you or many others that are using it, but if It
is for me should I use it or pay for it any more?..
and by the way! it is bad on 2 pc's out of 2, and when these problems
first accursed, back in December of 06 with the release of 6.0 I
stuck with it, and bought the upgrade, and wrote it off as it will be
fix in the next release. I tried to work threw my issues back then
with no results

I have used Window-Eyes since version 2.
In my experience, each version has been an improvement.
If there were issues, the staff at GW Micro help resolve them in a
very speedy manner.
If you had that many problems and did not get them resolved, I could
only guess that it was something with your
system, or you didn't take the time to work with the staff at GW Micro.
In any case, just because you can't make something work does not mean
the product is bad.
Especially 6.1 and 7.0.
Enjoy using other products and try to ges support for issues that
come up.

Hi Mike, for me 5.5 was the last good working version of we. 6.0
and 6.1
introduced many problems on the web, and many editing problems in
all
Microsoft products. I guess just not so very happy with we any
more, with
the 150 upgrade cost of 6.0/6.1 and the cost of this 1 for a
product that
just isn't very good and now not so stable anymore I can't justify it

Well, I can understand the hessitancy with 7.0 given numerous
comments,
but why go back to 5.5.
And, as for 7.0, it seems that clean installs and updated scripts
have
reduced the number of problems reported.
7.0 will work fine for 99.999% of users in the near term.

It also continues in trust.
