Speaking as one of the 7.0 users who did have problems, I would asure you that suggestions were made which solved all of my issues. 7.0 is now running every bit as reliably as 6.1 did with one important difference. I can do a great deal more with 7.0. My thanks to the support staff for patient and productive suggestions throughout the process.

I once learned in a business sales class that every time someone has a bad experience, they will tell at least eleven people who in turn will each tell an additional elven others. However when someone has a good experience, they will usually only tell three people and each of those might or might not tell three completely different others.

That being said, don't let the messages about bad installs, loss of speech, blowing up computers, ETC get you scared. We would not have released Window-Eyes 7.0 if it was as bad as some people's experiences have been. These are typically the exception to the norm and for the most part, there have been solutions to the install problems.

Hope this helps, many thanks.

I received a CD of 7.0 yesterday and I am scared to death! I don't know whether or not I should install it because of all the posts about losing speech and needing to reboot. I suppose I could try it in one of my PCs and see what it's like. Should I wait until the issue of speech loss is resolved? I have a braille display so I would have braille if speech failed, providing WE is still running. What are your comments?
