Hi Evan, and Everyone,
Well, I came back to my computer, intending it to be running, and
guess what! It had shut down. lol.
I know this isn't Window-Eyes, as it's a bug, I think, in Windows Seven. lol.
I Can't and won't blame GW Micro for that one. <grin>

I have my power button configured such that when the PC is on, it

loss of speech episodes -- not very often thankfully -- if I hit the
power button, WE will start talking for a few seconds before the
shutdown actually starts. I wonder if that is a clue as to why loss
of speech happens.

I have a friend using we 7.2 and this happens fairly often when she
runs internet explorer 7. She used to have ie 8, and speech loss
happened with that too.

Pat, I have noticed this as well, but my issue with this only
started with version 7.2, and I have to hit Alt backslash and the
Alt f4 to close down WinEyes, and then of course, as you stated,,
enter or space to shut it down. Then I bring it back up again and
it works fine for a while. Has anybody else noticed this?

Subject: Los of speech with Window-Eyes
Hi Everyone,
I am still having issues of Window-Eyes just stop talking now and
then, and I was thinking that my computer was locking up, but I
have confirmed, that this is not the case. It is in fact,
Window-Eyes. This happends at least once a day and sometimes more
ofthen than that.
One way to tell for sure, is to do a control backslash, and then
alt-f4, and enter, and then load another screen reader, and if
the computer starts talking, we know it is Window-Eyes that is the problem.
This is getting old, and it has been going on since Window-Eyes 7.0.
I do hope that the loving folks at GW Micro could please fix this problem.
I don't get any script update alerts at all.
Thanks.
