Hi Cathy, I had a loss of sound issue on my Windows7 64 bit machine, but not the stuttering you are talking about. There is, in fact, an update for the Realtech sound driver which I've installed. So far, no loss of sound. I could send a link to download the driver if you want and you could install that and see if it makes any difference. No problems at all with Window-Eyes 7.5.4 at all. If it's not the sound driver, sounds as though something is working hard in the background and using up all your processing power and memory.
