So… Aside from spelling mistakes, speculation, conjecture, rumor, and mistrust, what other fuel can be added to an unnecessary fire? If I recall, this conversation or some iteration of it comes up every time people are expecting a new release of software. Wouldn't it be better to think that the "silence" with which you are so concerned is due to the fact that they are actually developing the software and not wasting their time because they have said that a release is forthcoming? Is somebody from the company supposed to post a message multiple times a day assuring people that they are one day closer to this imminent release which is forthcoming and is in the near future which is ever growing closer? And closer? In regards to the so-called "old GWMicro," if there are no more customer passions for Window-Eyes, why are people still posting questions and receiving answers from tech-support? Tech-support which, I might add, still answers questions on the weekends?

In regards to Window-Eyes being second to Zoom Text, wouldn't it be logical to think that both teams of developers are focusing on their respective applications? This would be akin to accusing Microsoft of focusing on making Windows somehow second in line to, say, office. I seem to recall a statement in the press release regarding the merger that the people of Window-Eyes were going to function just as they always have. Personally, I have not seen any sort of lack in communication; communication which you deem to be "appalling." If it were so, might not this list have ceased to function?

I rest my case.
Oh, and in case you weren't aware of it, in the time that you have spent reading this, we have come that much closer to the release of Window-Eyes nine.

Payig customers deserve some dialogue from AI Squared regarding the current
and future status of Window-eyes.

Serious allegations have been made: most notably that the industry is
claiming that  GW Micro is bankrupt.

As a creditor, due to the fact that I have a SMA, I am entitled to request
that I am refunded through a court process.  How this works across
international boundaries, and when in fact the amount is very small, is
beyond my comprehension.

Here is what I think.

GW did not go bankrupt.  But: it needed capital injections to contyinue the
develoment of Window-eyes against seeming unsurmountable odds.

AI Squared will treat Window-eyes has a side line to Zoomtext, and perhaps
it would wish that these people who rely on synthetic speech and braille
would just go away.

Not for the first time I wonder where Mr Wu is - why has he not communicated
with Window-eyes owners?  Why does it seem that senior employees are not
wishing to respond to the growing speculation that Window-eyes is no longer
a truly serious contender in the screen reader
market?  Is their muzzling at the very top levels of AI Squared?    Why
is it - that if there is no longer to be a Window-eyes, we weren't told so
that we are left to feed on our own speculation?

Just so that we try and keep the discussion on a professional and civilised
basis: Ppople are entitled to move out of their business ventures.  Peopple
are entitled to say "I don't want to do this anymore"
but the customer relationship is with a new company, whose communications
with us is appalling.

One of the things which AI Squared inherited is GW Micro's customer good
will.  On the evidence to date - that has been trashed: it clearly was not
part of the buy-out price?

The old GW Micro had a proud reputation for first class customer support.
This list reflected customer passion for Window-eyes. Services like ACB
Radio used to enable GW representatives to explain developments with
Window-eyes.

If users like me are generating damage on this list - imagine what is
happening on social networking?  And if the damage is widespread - what
steps are being taken to put out the fire?
