And I meant it generically. The group is now too big for it to be any one individual and their pals. And as the group grows - as it will continue to - the diversity increases, and it becomes increasingly less possible for decisions to be made based on who is who's pal. The committer themself determines whether the code submitted is in their personal area of expertise, and whether they are competent to review it.
