Yes, Valve did a great game and we all agree with that and with the fact that if TF2 has a so long lifetime is because of the 119 updates. But without the community, mappers, scripters, modders who "creating FREE content to ANYONE who owned the game" is the game so alive ? Valve also taking advantage of this content building with their tools and released for free.
This update kill a big part of this potential of creativity. I understand the need of cash from Valve and the mercantile logical which is in the fog behind these changes...
