we almost "solved" that by downgrading the kernel.
see my other thread here on the mailinglist.
actually this is only a "workaround".

I need to know the server information (cpu/os/glib/addons/etc) and (of

the same happens on my other server:

custom kernel 2.6.18.2 preemption, high mem support and 1000Hz
pentium 3 1.2 ghz, 1 gig ram
