Once upon a time there was 2 friends, left4dead and l4d_demo. The left4dead was the powerfull one. Another friend called l4d_full joined the happy bunch soon after. Then l4d_demo had Steamy accident and l4d_full became left4dead's best friend. Now they live happy ever after. In short:
left4dead pointed to l4d_demo when demo got released. During demo l4d_full was given us to preload most of the full game. Demo got dumped and left4dead started pointing to l4d_full.
