setmaster Usage: Setmaster <add | remove | enable | disable> <IP:port> Current: None
So based on Pizzahut's post, I did this: setmaster add 72.165.61.189:27010 and withing about 15 seconds, my server was on the list. Just like that! I then did this: setmaster add 69.28.151.162:27010 heartbeat setmaster Usage: Setmaster <add | remove | enable | disable> <IP:port> Current: 0: 72.165.61.189:27010 1: 69.28.151.162:27010 So I fired it up on my windows box, and I notice this appears on the console: Adding master server 72.165.61.189:27010 Adding master server 69.28.151.162:27010 And setmaster on the windows box gives this: setmaster Usage: Setmaster <add | remove | enable | disable> <IP:port> Current: 0: 72.165.61.189:27010 1: 69.28.151.162:27010 I look at the linux console when it starts, and I don't see these lines. I also don't see anything complaining about it trying and failing. So my guess at this time is that it adds these automatically when you start hlds.exe (windows), but not when you start hlds linux? Adding the setmaster lines to my server.cfg seems to have fixed the problem. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Ronny Schedel" <[email protected]> To: "Half-Life dedicated Linux server mailing list" <[email protected]> Sent: Wednesday, July 22, 2009 9:20 AM Subject: Re: [hlds_linux] Server not on master list? > > Please show the output of setmaster on the game server. > > >> >> ----- Original Message ----- >> From: "Florian Zschocke" <[email protected]> >> To: "Half-Life dedicated Linux server mailing list" >> <[email protected]> >> Sent: Wednesday, July 22, 2009 12:44 AM >> Subject: Re: [hlds_linux] Server not on master list? >> >> >> On Wed, Jul 22, 2009 at 6:35 AM, Ook<[email protected]> wrote: >>>> >>>> Is there any way to test for this on my end? >>> >>> Check your firewall rules with: >>> # iptables -L -v >> >> >> iptables -L -v >> Chain INPUT (policy ACCEPT 0 packets, 0 bytes) >> pkts bytes target prot opt in out source >> destination >> >> Chain FORWARD (policy ACCEPT 0 packets, 0 bytes) >> pkts bytes target prot opt in out source >> destination >> >> Chain OUTPUT (policy ACCEPT 0 packets, 0 bytes) >> pkts bytes target prot opt in out source >> destination >> >> >> _______________________________________________ >> To unsubscribe, edit your list preferences, or view the list archives, >> please visit: >> http://list.valvesoftware.com/mailman/listinfo/hlds_linux >> > > > _______________________________________________ > To unsubscribe, edit your list preferences, or view the list archives, > please visit: > http://list.valvesoftware.com/mailman/listinfo/hlds_linux _______________________________________________ To unsubscribe, edit your list preferences, or view the list archives, please visit: http://list.valvesoftware.com/mailman/listinfo/hlds_linux
