Good question. Although I dont use the printer driver,as the EFI driver takes over as a Host, I would think that portion should work, as I experienced the Online Help worked for the few steps that it had to deal with with my printer such as the ink info, the alignments, the head cleaning. It was at the point the trouble shooting needed to be directed to online content is when it stopped...So the troubleshooting is likely the section they dropped. As I type this 12 proofs are on the way, about half done. the 1200 mode is a bit slow, but I usually run this, even though I know at 600 it is still pretty good. So far the colors look great. Also the tech mentioned that the sensor for the print head will only detect electronic communication status and not anything at the nozzle level, so if a nozzle is clogged, you are likely not to know of it unless it was command related. Thanks again folks! I am up and running! I also purchased a 1 year extended for $239. I expect at least 3 or even 4 years of output from this printer before technology makes that leap of amazing new breakthrough...perhaps heat sensitive paper that requires no ink...just the right temp of a heating element....or that technology that ALPS once had with the ribbon wax...You can print White silver gold on black media....the only prob with that is it was 4 pass......anyone remember this things?
