I think my fears whent way ahead of me...I ended up calling HP, and they first lost my call...2TIMES, but after I got a rep for the designjet group things went smooth...
I really cant say ONE bad thing about the support I received after the call...OH AND BTW...That maintenance utility is not even supposed to be online as they discontinued support sometime back. You'd think they would ad a link to a page explaining that!!! The heads were bad and they were out of warranty while my printer was not and they are sending me new heads. I already had some, so I popped them in....This is all it take to keep the loyalty and the INVALUABLE inner marketing that automatically happens within our industry as users of these printers that gets backed up when you support the product. There is hardly a week that I dont recommend some image related device, whether its a printer or a camera, ...It is untouchable value that drives the product, and that is due to support backbone. I was also mentioned that the firmware is for better paper handling and such. Thanks for you guys here...but I take it not many of us have used the maintenance Util....dont bother. ------------------------------------ Website: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HPDesignJet_Printers Post message: [email protected] Subscribe: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Unsubscribe: [EMAIL PROTECTED] List owner: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Yahoo!
