I have been fearful of doing any firmware updates on my DJ130 for the same
reason.  The last time I tried to run it the program said there was an
update available even though the version number was the same.  If I can
recall this correctly, the format for the filename was different, but the
version itself was unchanged.  I didn't bother performing the update.

I see that you were able to get them to replace the heads...  I figured that
they would do that for you.  It usually takes only a little extra effort
from a company to keep their customer base loyal.  Some companies wouldn't
bother though.

Regarding the maintenance utility, if the program isn't supported any
longer, how are we supposed to perform the "calibrate color" processes
without it?  [Rhetorical question]
