Hello Stan: I haven't posted in years so yeah I'm not quite up too speed with cutting away the extra... My old CIS for the HP 100 is no longer available I guess but they're pretty much all the same...Some have breathers on the actual cartridges and some don't...Almost all are made in China and the HP units all have a built in chip for the auto cartridge reset...Of course the tank which feeds the cartridges comes in different sizes depending on the manufacturer...
