Had a flock of ~60 Double-crested Cormorants fly over Ottosen this morning
(about 9AM). On the way back into town in a prairie patch on the
Kossuth/Humboldt border, I had a male N. Harrier beautiful gray guy...so
lovely. Lots of LBJs bouncing around the roads (assuming they are a mix
of larks and longspurs and zonotrichia sparrows). Other than that, it's
been quiet, no weird finches to speak of, will probably sneak out to the
potholes to see if those cormorants dropped, or accidentally pick up some
ducks or maybe an owl....

Yesterday I had a covey of Fox Sparrows on a gravel road W of Gotch Park,
hunkered down by a small stream.
