I don't understand the procedures to set up the IOCP/OS configurations in order
to have my Test and Prod lpars using the same IOCP in slot A3.

  Do I need an card such as:

  * Column Contents
  * ---------- ----------------------------------------------
  * 1 - 8 LPARNAME
  * 10 -17 A required logical partition name as defined to LPAR.
  * A blank indicates an OS/390 image not running in LPAR
  * mode. The default of matching the system being IPLed
  * is set indirectly by specifying the HWNAME parameter.

  in order to get this to work and should I define an Prod & Test configuration
in the IOCP gen with HCD. I have one sitting out there now called OS390 but
only my Test lpar can see and use it.

  Thanks.

How do I generate 2 OS configurations, one for test and one for prod lpars
to use IODF05.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

LOADxx specifies parms for IODF and a volser. IODF does not have to be
CATLOG'ed for IPL but does for DYNAMIC activation. You also said DASD was not
shared between test and production. What I'd do is backup IODF05 from test to
tape and restore it to PROD on the same volser as current. Then I'd try DYNAMIC
activation on PROD for the cataloged version of IODF05 with TEST option and
see what happened?
