I used the scan PTF cover letters and don't recall any mention of it. IIRC there were several SHARE presentations and Bill Butterworth of GMR was President of SHARE. Also I remember a fascinating presentation from UCLA where the Prof was modeling plasma dynamics and cranking some large numbers with VF on 600J. I thought it was available on 3081 way back when. Amdahl had a special Fortran subroutine library for it and again it's been so long there was an EISPACK w/vector and w/o. Then the big RS6000's started to hit the street and they were superior at scientific processing at fractions of the cost. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For IBM-MAIN subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the message: GET IBM-MAIN INFO Search the archives at http://bama.ua.edu/archives/ibm-main.html
