Sounds like sysplex to me, but "CICSPlex" appears in text on the video
(I have CC turned off). I'm guessing someone he was with called it
KicksPlex and that's how it got written.
But these are tiny things. This video is FAR better for its target
audience than anything I've seen before. The guy is truly impressed.
Plus, I never got to poke that deep inside a mainframe - I'm jealous.
I also liked the boxes with the long coils of fiber for distance
testing. I got to unpack one of those for use at a customer site, but
we ended up doing something totally different and never used it.
Anybody want some miles-long coils of fiber? :)

Or the transcription was done through software with no human hands, it misheard
SYSPLEX as CICSPlex, and happens to know how to spell CICSPlex?

What was odd to me was that at one point he said SYSPLEX and the
caption
indicated CICSPlex which doesn't seem like a transcription error since the capitalization
is correct and he didn't say "KicksPlex"
Yes, I had been thinking that. The only way I can see this happening is if it was
deliberate. Could he be confused about SYSPLEX being CICSPLEX? That would make
"cash" either just an error or a joke.
