Definitely not! I did the port strictly in "classic" z/OS with PDS or PDSE as the source code repository and a simple process I've developed to resolve bind time dependencies. As I've mentioned elsewhere, I had the poor souls who work with that environment in mind and COBOL applications as the target user audience. I may or may not choose to use that technique in my next Open Source project and I may consider redoing the port in z/OS Unix, but for now it is what it is, a "classic" z/OS port.
