Although the general guidline is not to accept a USERMOD, have you run
into a specific case where it is causing problems? Like inability to
apply a PTF that affects the same modules and does not pre or sup the
USERMOD.? If that's the case and the PTF replaces all pieces altered by
the USERMOD, then you have other options -- Like using UCLIN to delete
the USERMOD from zones and applying and accepting the conflicting PTF
would get all pieces back in sync without the USERMOD present. Or if
you have backups of the distribution library members affected by the
USERMOD, or original source members that could be used to create them,
you may have ways to manually "restore" the distribution library members
to go along with a UCLIN manual undo of the USERMOD accept.

If the accepted USERMOD is not causing problems with new PTF
maintenance, the simplest approach is to let it ride. When you migrate
to a new system version with new libraries and new SMP/E zones, the
problem will solve itself. If the only problem caused, is difficulty
installing a revised version of the same USERMOD, you can get around
that by other means (checkout USERMOD REWORK parameter).

Do not proceed with manual kludges without adequate backups or copies of
affected libraries and zones.
