Comment #10 on issue 1659 by takao.fujiwara1: ibus-ui-gtk3 should show
local modes of active engines as GNOME does
http://code.google.com/p/ibus/issues/detail?id=1659
No. Hiding next lines while moving is the problem.
I don't understand your problem.
First, I guess only a few users need input modes such as Hiragana,
Katakana.
Now the input mode is important since Japanese and Latin are switched.
So, we may hide the panel when any keys are pressed?
No, I mean users still can press Zenkaku_Hankaku to show the panel again
even if the panel is hid after a timeout.
Do you intend to avoid the behavior of ATOK or MS IME for Windows Store
applications?
I don't know about Windows Store applications.
My understanding is MS IME does not hide panel with key press.
I'm thinking the cursor position becomes wrong because generally keypress
does not mean it's ok to hide the panel and the position is always possible
to hide any text.
I'm thinking the window position is better than the cursor one.
I think another idea is to provide a shortcut key to toggle the panel.
