Wait a minute !

You mean to tell me that a Mid 1980's boat with an inboard diesel with lots of
additions . Goes for the SAME price as....
an Older 1978... Outboard ..Basic Catalina 27 ?

I don't know about what's going on in some regions of the world, but one only
has to look at the listings in YachtWorld.com to see
That 1980's boats are listed from between 10,000 and 19,000 .. and in a lot of
locations.
A further look shows that the... 1970's.... are going for a lot less, for sure.

Really, Is the market so depressed that there's NO difference in price between
the models when SELLING ?
I'm sorry but it doesn't make sense to me ...
Comparing prices for a 1978 with a 1984 and coming up with "similar boats are
selling for a third of 15,500 " Huh ?

Will they get their asking prices ? I don't know, but I sure think that asking
for $ 15K and maybe settling on a couple thou Less would make a lot more
sense..... Than asking $ 5,000 (as was suggested) just to sell it off.

Where did I go wrong ?
