Very good point Mark. To answer some of the points that you have made here,
the exterior brightwork has been sanded down, cleaned and had 3 coats of Cetol
natural this spring, the diesel has 520 hrs and runs very smooth, new heat
exchanger, hoses and vented loop last year as well as a flush of the fresh
water cooling system. The roller furling 135 genoa is brand new and has fewer
than 6hrs sailing time on it, the bottom was painted this spring and there is
no indication that there were ever any blisters, nor is ther a Catalina smile
at the keel. The hull is waxed and the decks show no cracking or soft spots.
The rigging upgrades available from Catalina Direct have been installed (
spreader mounts, chainplate reinforcement, deck cleat backers) The interior is
beautiful, all cushions and upholstery are in excellent shape and all interior
wood was fed with lemon oil this spring to keep it looking good, newly installed
Origo 3000 with gimbals which replaced the old pressurized alcohol stove,
pressurized fresh water system in galley and head, anchor, chain and rope rode,
dodger, winter cover, brand new dsc vhf, am/fm/cd, brand new Ritchie binacle
compass, etc etc etc.

Ultimately, the true value of the boat is the enjoyment derived by its owner.
This boat is ready to board, load with food and beverages, and sail off for a
few hours or a few weeks with out a worry about how it has been set up or
maintained. If someone is interested, take a look, that doesn't cost a thing.
Make an offer if you like what you see. If you think I am off my rocker, let
me know. I will take it under advisement and head out sailing.
Jeff
