Dear Ankush,

        Here are my points.

******Point 2: Can only tech wizards keep hold of these
******precious Unix Machniene and why not the common person.
******Why should not?

The "common person" is not quite expected to do "much good work"
with the machine. If one intends to do some "good work" with his achine
he ceases to be a "common person" anymore. (How can one person remain a
stupid and yet have continuous blissful knowledge at the same time ?)
And if he is no more a common person, then your question does not stand.

******Point 3: Is Linux userfriendly? I am person with eight
******years experience in Industry. And still struggling to
******get X-windows up and running. Is it fault of my years
******earned experience and knowledge or non-user
******friendliness of Linux?

I can say many things over here, starting from the kind of
Industry (SSI ??) to the kind of experience upto the correctness of the
hypothesis that you DID REALLY try to set X-windows up. Instead let me
point out one fact very plainly : Linux is NO MORE UNFRIENDLY WITH THE
INTRODUCTION OF DISTRIBUTIONS LIKE RedHat, Debian etc. Also here are
some of the resources from where you may obtain help. Since I do
not exactly the kind of failures that you had from your sincere efforts,
please read up the necessary documents from : 1. various README files in
/usr/lib/X11/doc; 2. Other files for other information, for instance,
BUILD file says how to build XFree86 from source, AccelCards lists all
the accelerated cards that are supported, Quickstart.doc is a very quick
introduction on how to setup X, Devices, Monitors are nice examples and
the like. (I have assumed, that since you are so much bent upon the
feature of user-friendliness, you have or can get hold of the latest
RedHat distribution, although which does not have the latest stable
kernel.)

******Point -4: What about online instantly avaliable help
******in Linux?

There are various man-pages, as they call; they are situated in
/usr/doc directory. Please read up before making spurious comments.

******Point-5: Why should I have to move from one site to
******another begging for the support for Linux? and nobody
******answers correctly for the solution.

I have learnt much from such postings and do still wish to learn
more in this way. The actual problem is not in your begging for help in
different sites but in the whole attitude. The question is : to learn to
stand on one's own feet or to remain on other's shoulders and make a
mess with complaints.

******Point -6: Why there is lots of versions and
******variations, different providers and incompatiblities
******in Linux itself?why Linux eventhough open and free not
******able to be uninque and having one standard?
******

It is only things beautiful that are obtained in so many colors,
shapes and thus with so many variations. So the Linuxers know none-else
than to appreciate and carry on reproducing beauty...

There is only one thing which in its own rights IS unique :
blindness.

******Point -7: Last but not least , the open standard group
******not able to come up with clear cut solution for those
******companies who cry for open stadards but want to keep
******technologies under there control ( here I mean Java -
******Sun Microsystems)?
******

Again please read up before making comments.

The Linux community is small but in its essence is dynamic and
there is no place for someone in this community, therefore, who prefers
to be static.
