[ Subject: Re: [ilug-cal] Microsoft Sponsored Linux Myths ]

things to "Techie Linuxer" like you . Dear, Gone are those days
when knowledge was under behold of one community, wake up it is
internet age where knowledge is avaliable on the finger tips to
    everybody.

or so you think. The point is not to have all the knowledge all
over yourself; it is what you do with it that matters. And believe
me, techies have a lot more ways of exploiting the same knowledge
bank that the layman will think of being for one use only.

these are some practicality in the linux. And I strongly feel
that if these definicines are removed it will be at the top of
the world, where I really wants to see it.

every proponent of linux says so, which interestingly according to
me is an easy escape route for lamers.

technology. While programing switched from structed moduler way
    - to object based - to object oriented and

you think anything that is useful can be written with crap like OOP
? Think again, that is if you do. Linux honchos had tried
converting the kernel code into OOP and it did so badly that they
had to trash it down the drain immediately.

objects. So this is all the result of simplicity and improves
userfriendliness. Would you ignore this improvements in IT
    industry?

yah, but simplicity and user friendliness should not be at the cost
of reliability and stability. And if you are trying to tell me that
the GUI and user friendly OS you are trying to pit Linux against is
stable or anywhere near it then you can blissfully stuff it where it
belongs.

Another point is man pages. Tell me how intutive is it?

very much intuitive infact and to the point. I do not want to see a
dangling torch with its flame on the screen dancing around to tell
me that it is looking for a help file; a simple message "looking for
file" is enough I would say. If this crap is what you call user
friendliness, then sorry.

Can you get a list of all man pages avaliable???? Do
not tell me to use ls on /usr/doc.

Have you ever tried 'xman'; ooops, sorry you never got X running in
the first place.

Last point, the person who is talking of revoultion cannot be
static. I feel you are not able to read correctly all the
things. Dear,do not get passionful for the sake just it
is. Preserve it for some real world.

if anyone is getting passionate here, it is probably you, "dear" !
