Dear Mr. Partha Pratim Ghosh
I feel you have taken my points in very wrong way. I
like Linux --- as a better and easier Unix flavour and
great platform. I respect the Linux Community as I
repsect myself.
I have experience in SSI and fortunatly I worked on
DOS, Unix, Novell Netware, Windows equally in last
eight years. As developer and as administrator both.
And practically I learnt to use this by lighting my
nights and putting my days togehter. So please do not
suspect that you are talking to so called "stupid"
person who (you think) is asking really practical
things to "Techie Linuxer" like you . Dear, Gone are
those days when knowledge was under behold of one
community, wake up it is internet age where knowledge
is avaliable on the finger tips to everybody.
First thing every good thing has a bad side that is
why it gets more and more attractive. If bright day
does not have dark night can human race be alive. So
these are some practicality in the linux. And I
strongly feel that if these definicines are removed it
will be at the top of the world, where I really wants
to see it.
I bent upon user friendliness, because if you really
see with your mind open, we came up from keyboards to
mouse to voice recongintion in user interface
technology. While programing switched from structed
moduler way - to object based - to object oriented and
currently putting at component base methodology. See
how internet came up with HTML slick thin form
objects. So this is all the result of simplicity and
improves userfriendliness. Would you ignore this
improvements in IT industry?
Well, I agree with your point of beauty in the
diffence.
Another point is man pages. Tell me how intutive is
it?
Can you get a list of all man pages avaliable???? Do
not tell me to use ls on /usr/doc.
Last point, the person who is talking of revoultion
cannot be static. I feel you are not able to read
correctly all the things. Dear,do not get passionful
for the sake just it is. Preserve it for some real
world.
I choose to leave the "community" where you can say
everything is open but does not bear the real
truth, does not want to know definicies.
With best wishes
Ankush
