Hi,
        RH 8 tries some of the debian atp-get trick also. Its package manager now 
gives what is installed & what more you can get from the full installaltion . 
So if you do not installed some thing you do not have to search the 3 cds for 
it the package manager tells you to install the correct cd.

I also tried debain though not 3 but 2.2 r 5 which is good but in my option 
debian generally supply a little versions of the softwares.
