Dear Indrada (taking liberty though I haven't met u personally),

Thanks for the info about rpm.

I have 5 partitions in all :
1 primary windows partition (3GB),
1 extended windows partition in which i have 4 logical drives :
1st linux ( ext2) - 4 GB.
2nd, 3rd and 4th all windows ( roughly 4 GB each ).

somewhere in the logical drives, i also have a swap partition about 200
mb.

linux fdisk correctly identifies the partitions ( even the order) and the
cylinder count imposed is also not exceeded.

I have tried a lot, but couldn't install lilo on mbr. at the end of the
installation, it says lilo reported some errors (god knows what) and
suggests i make a bootdisk. I have tried this with RH 6.2 and 7.1 PCQ.

Thank you in advace for the suggestions
