of course lilo can boot an OS that resides on hdb or hdc. i myself have
two hard disks, with 'doze on hda and linux on hdb.

but maybe he means something else. is he trying to put lilo on the mbr
of hdb or hdc? i don't know whether that will work. anyone with
experience in this?

and when he says first hard disk, does he mean hda, or any hard disk
that comes first in the hda/b/c/d sequence? i mean, if someone has only
one disk and it is set up as hdc, can lilo work from the mbr?
