hello, I have been using the new kernel from the later stages of the 2.5x series. Though currently I run it on a box with 512 megs of RAM, previously I ran the thing in a system with 192 MB. Compared to the 2.4.x series, performance has always been better. I have also know people who have run it on 128 MB RAM, and no complaints from them either. But, regarding Fedora, please do keep in mind that their installer (anaconda) is a monster (i guess that's why the name ;-), especially when used in graphical mode (I think the minimal requirement is 128 MB). And the recommended RAM requirement for GNOME 2.6 is also 128 MB. -thanks- Sayamindu -- Sayamindu Dasgupta [http://clai.net/sayamindu] Free Software: the Software by the People, of the People and for the People.
