Do you advise using the Software Updater for all it's suggested updates?

Thanks for the advice on what and what not to trash.

I felt uncomfortable paying the $75 Hot Bench fee to jump to the front of
the queue and it wasn't just the pain of parting with the cash!  I took the
pain as a slap on the wrist to ensure I back-up in future - no excuses!  It
seems sort of unethical to me to pay to jump the queue.  Any thoughts?

PS  I'm English, living in America since 1970, but still seem to take this
'queue' thing very seriously!
