Has anyone had any experience using FTP mail servers? I'm using the v.90 script for my modem and am only getting a connection speed of 31.2k at best. That stinks!!!!!! Our phone lines are really crappy here. It takes me forever to download big files and sometimes I just don't have the time to wait. Also I tend to get disconnected a lot (after about an hour or so if I leave it idle). A have the "connect if idle for..." box in OSX and OS9 unchecked. Still it'll disconnect sometimes after an hour or so if the comp is left idle. Anyways, somebody talked about this problem earlier and i need to know if anyone has had any experience with these FTP mail servers. The instructions I got from one gopher server seems a bit confusing yet.
