whoah! i didn't know that ftpmail was still around! it used to be THE way to get things, if you weren't at a big university (back when they were the only ones with copious amounts of bandwidth). i was in school back when the dream of residential broadband was still being dreamed, and ISDN was just a twinkle in her daddy's eye... we lived way (and i mean WAY) out in the country, in central Texas, and ftpmail is how I got such memorable items as Bolo, the original StuffIt expander, and others. back when University of Texas and UMich were THE archives of Mac software on the internet. there were no others.
