USA Daily offers internet access via satellite for $49.95 a month. Their FAQ states that the service is available only for Windows. But their service will work on Macs that are part of a home network. I'm not sure, but my guess would be that what they're saying is you would need a PC to hook the satellite up to. Then in order to surf the web with your Mac, you would have to set up a small home network using a router and ethernet. You can check their FAQ at <http://www.usadaily.com/InternetServices/satellite_frequently_asked_questions.htm>

Also, Wild Blue <http://wildblue.com> is going to be offering satellite internet service that they promise will be compatible with Macintosh computers. But it will not be available until sometime next year.
