It's your right to "live in the past" as you put it, but to do so out of ignorance is just a crying shame.
I dare *anybody* to look at OS X running on a current G4 Mac (eMac, iMac, Powerbook, tower) and tell me it's "slow" or even "slower than OS 9."
It ain't.
It's certainly faster than the people who cling to OS 9.
