Since I have a digital camera, I'm thinking I'd like to have a web site to display my work for friends and family.
But I'm unsure whether it's better to have my own web site, or to rent web site space from a provider at say, $6 to $10 per month. No doubt there are advantages and disadvantages to either arrangement.
Not really enough information. What do you mean by your "own" website as opposed to a "rented" website? How much data are you planning on sharing? What sort of formats? How fast do you want your page to be? What sort of connection do you have? How will you get eh pictures onto your website? Does you ISP allow you to run a webserver on your machine?
&c, &c.
