But looking through the disks I received when upgrading to Jaguar 10.2.4
I found that an Apple Hardware Test disk was included. It was my
impression that the test disk applied to Jaguar only. Can it be used for
OS 9 as well?
Now I'm *really* confused -- are you running OS 9.2.2, or OS X 10.2.x?
Are the problems you're having being seen in "Classic" or when you boot natively into OS 9? If the latter, do you see the same problems when you run OS 9 programs in "Classic" on OS X?
But to answer your question directly, the AHT CD doesn't care what OS you're running -- it has its own on the CD itself, and will work from that. Furthermore, as the name implies, it's testing HARDWARE (Ram, Hard drive, video card etc) not software so again what version of the OS is on the hard drive doesn't matter.
For your issue, based on what you've said so far, I would focus on the RAM testing portion of the Apple Hardware Test.
