I'm looking for some recommendations for an inexpensive digital USB or
FireWire camera that's completely compatible with my Snow CRT iMac. If
anyone knows of a good and inexpensive model, please let me know!

Maybe you could clarify what you mean by "camera."

There's digital cameras (snap, snap, photographs), and then there's digital video cameras.

I am not aware of any consumer-level photographic cameras that use Firewire. They all use USB.

I am also not aware of any consumer-level video cameras that use USB. They all use Firewire (aka iLink, aka 1394).

Also, what kind of video or photo work do you plan to be doing? All-around general family use? Professional? Etc.
