I spent a lot of time looking at CNET reviews, and compared them to other reviews in Mac magazines. CNET's reviews seemed to be pretty good. In addition to other features, I would look at how fast the cameras (auto)focus and zoom, and how fast they save to their drive. Also, do you need TIFFs? I also found a huge difference in price to resolution/feature, and disparate with the ratings. I got a great buy on my Olympus. More questions, email me directly (soon, as I'm bagging Earthlink -$$ : [ ). USB is normal for digi cameras and works fine. Good luck.
