Bind 8.2.2, thanks to Nortel contributing the code, will also be
available for NT and is in beta now, as well as running on a couple of
root-servers.net. Running a DNS is a fundamental skill of ip
networking and not really that difficult. If you can handle Imail,
you can handle DNS config files, using the Cricket book from O'Reillly
(also exists for NT BIND). I do recommend a little nit picking help with
DNSExpert from MenAndMice.com, a lot cheaper than a commercial DNS but
good enough to keep you in line and find those typos and boners.

Is there an advantage to using a local DNS
rather than our ISP's? We are a
small office - 50 users on a ten net.
Thanks
