I understand your insistence, but I just checked my DNS and it could not
locate a MIX record for your domain, either. If Scott and Len also say this,
then you _better_ believe that something is wrong and it needs to be fixed.
Just because you have added the records and check your local server, does
not mean that it might not be supplying the information to other DNS
servers. The real test is when some other DNS server makes the request and
correct information is returned. Since 3 of us could not, it is highly
likely that all others will get a similar response. So please take the time
to check from an outside domain and you will likely see what we see. I can
tell you that I have seen something like this from a DNS before and a
restart of the DNS service was often enough to 'fix' the problem. Could also
be some format error in the DNS data.
I just tried this FQDN, 'levenfeld.com.levenfeld.com', (because I have seen
the domain name repeated, before!) and it returned the same IP as
levenfeld.com and mail.levenfeld.com. Let me guess, you are using MS DNS?
The presence of this record tells me that there is, most definitely, a
problem with your DNS. A quick note: if one does not end a 'short name'
record with a '.', many DNSs will append the domain name, to that name. So
if you entered the domain name as 'levenfeld.com' or the hostname as 'mail',
then the DNS could make these names 'levenfeld.com.levenfeld.com' or
'mail.levenfeld.com'. This is not an uncommon problem!!
The reason you probably do not have any email problems, is that the IP for
the domain is the same as for the mail. host and those servers that fallback
to IP for the domain, can then deliver to you. I did see the A record for
mail.levenfeld.com.
