no, you need an MX to assure reliable delivery:

email   MX  10  iway.chartway.com.
email   A   ip.ad.re.ss
iway    MX  10  iway.chartway.com.
@       MX  10  iway.chartway.com.

you can't really have too many MX records, plus make sure all your 
hostnames have A records.
