We switched to IMail v. 6.06 end 99 because our Netscape Mail
Server was not y2k compliant.

IMail proved to run like a charm; last year we have had an uptime
of more than 98%; ALL of the downtime was caused by patching MS
holes.

You are saying the services die - could it be that the OS has a
problem?

<snip>
We wrote a program that catches iMail in
the act of dying, stops it and re-starts the service but that's no
solution
and the turn-around time is about 4 minutes to do that.
