Yes, that might be true.
However, I'd think even a *nix guy could get declude to work
unless he just didn't want to make it work.
I'd guess there is more going on. Probably this sentence holds
the key:
GI> We would prefer something that was more centralized...giving more

I read this to mean that there is a solution the engineers want
and until management buys it there is not going to be any other
product that will actually work.
But then again I'm a bit of a cynic.
