We used Rockliffe Mailsite as an inbound gateway to Exchange. MailSite has a nice wildcard alias feature that allows to reroute all mail *@bogus.com to *@exchange.bogus.com (just an example), has more control over relay permissions, and allows to define manual routes (in addition to DNS MX records or instead of them)
I never tried to use Imail as a gateway.
