Scott,

Thank you for your suggestions. Unfortunately, changing that particular
registry entry seems to have no effect on the problem at hand. Any other
suggestions people might have? IPSwitch said to re-install (the default
answer when you have no clue), but that also did not help. ANY suggestions
would be appreciated.

Here is my original request for anyone that didn't read it. It was a few
weeks ago.

I'm getting an error that is causing a pop up on the screen. The popup is
for SMTPD32.EXE. The machine is:

AMD 1800XP
512MB of Ram
Win2K, SP3

The error is:

The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000142). Press ok to
terminate.

At this point, the SMTP server stops responding.

I've searched the knowledgebase both on Ipswitch, and Microsoft and can't
seem to find anything. I did see something in the forum archive pertaining
to this error, but it did not seem to pertain to me, and the person never
posted anything saying he fixed it. Does anyone have any suggestions or
know of any issues? Thank you.

You must not have looked closely enough in the archives. :)
