the problem that we have had when blocking things like this is that our own clients get pissed off when they can't receive mail from servers that are on DSL or cable connections.
so you whitelist the miniscule number of legit IPs on subscriber networks, and even smaller number of which are actually sending to your MX. How is this different from any other whitelisting?
