mine did this too.
the z-pkill util that is in with my keepalive will allow you to kill the
process
( z-pkill pid# )
After rebooting everything, I managed to get the mail from the secondary (4
hours before it was going to return everything to sender).
yikes.
I'm really looking forward to a stable SMPTRCV!

this one is actually worse for me, since the other one at least my
keepalive script can keep it alive.
