To be honest this first foray into SXCE has been a bit hit and miss. First time I booted I got half way through the installation and then it stopped with an error (can't remember exactly but it looked like a hardware/read error). Tried another burn - same. Swapped the DVD drive and then rebooted and then got the whole install process up, with all the config questions about DHCP etc. which then ran the install (bar slowly scrolling across the screen). Set it to auto reboot after install but it now just comes up with the grub prompt (this is with the DVD out so it is definitely on the disk).
Had previously installed many OSes fine on this machine so I am not even sure the original DVD drive was faulty at all. I think I did a fresh install. There was a 2009.06 system on the drive but I had the installer erase the drive (once again, I think)... Nowhere near as neat/easy as 2009.06 to install IMO! -- This message posted from opensolaris.org
